Hey Y’all

I’m working on a series of short stories about a couple in Atlanta he’s a tough criminal defense lawyer and she’s a court reporter.  He often rubs her the wrong way but she’s intrigued.  When he’s ready for some changes in his personal life he turns to the petite court reporter who doesn’t say how high when he says jump.   The inspiration for my hero?  None other than Mr. Alexander Skarsgard.  Does it sound like something y’all would want to read?

Take a look at Mr. Skarsgard and imagine him doing bad, bad things.

Totally Hot, Totally Shirtless – Bradley Cooper Revisited (via Live, Love, Laugh & Blog)

Wow I do generally like Southern Boys but I’d make an exception for this Yankee.

Totally Hot, Totally Shirtless - Bradley Cooper Revisited For those of you who've been around for awhile you'll know Bradley Cooper was the subject of my first Totally Hot, Totally Shirtless post.  In light of the fact that Case 39 opens on October 1st I thought we'd revisit our friend Bradley.   So three more pictures of Bradley Cooper in all of his shirtless glory.                  … Read More

The Sounds of the Peach State

I have to tell ya’ll when it came to musical abilities God most certainly poured out an abundance of blessings on the Great State of Georgia.    Let’s start with rhythm & blues, Little Richard, Gladys Knight, Otis Redding and the Godfather of Soul himself James Brown.  Ray Charles certainly had Georgia on his Mind (don’t know that he’s from Georgia but man he could sing that song).   There’s Rock, REM, The B-52s, Georgia Satellites, and the Black Crowes.  Then there are my country boys (and Girls) Travis Tritt, Alan Jackson, Doug Stone, T. Graham Brown, Trisha Yearwood, Jason Aldean and Jennifer Nettles.

Now ya’ll know I couldn’t list everybody. IF I missed someone you love tell me and I’ll give the props.  Just hittin some highlights.   So let me wrap up by sharing some pics of my favorite sons from my favorite state.

I think Mrs. Jackson is one lucky lady.

All Travis would have to do would be to start singing the first line of Anymore and I’d be his.

Now ya’ll may not know T. Graham Brown but he sang some fun songs and one in particular shares a name with my dear friend Darlene.   Here’s a video:

What’s Your Idea of A Romantic Hero?

So my question today is what is your idea of a Romantic Hero?   Sometimes when I am planning and plotting, it’s just the average guy who comes to mind and sometimes it’s someone a little more exciting.  I have found that in my reading and TV viewing I am totally drawn to Law Enforcement types, Elliott from Law & Order,  Tony on NCIS, and my favorite Bosco from Third Watch .    Gosh I miss that show.

Other times it’s those other men in uniforms;

And who wouldn’t want to ride with this Cowboy?

Then there is the ULTIMATE a man in a tux, this man in particular, Daniel Craig could be wearing anything or nothing at all and he’d be my ultimate hero.

So tell me my new friends, what is your idea of the ultimate Romantic Hero?

Welcome Ya’ll

Hey just wanted to say thanks for dropping by and visiting my blog.

I’m embarking on my career as a romance writer and have my first short story coming out November 1st at www.romancestoriesmagazine.com.  Be sure and check it out.  My story is called The Red Door.    It’s a fun little piece of flash fiction that I hope you’ll enjoy.

I’m working on my first novel, Kudzu, Red Clay and Sweet Tea: My Search for Rhett Butler.    Stay tuned for progress on that front.

I look forward to getting to know ya’ll and sharing some more about me.

Thanks for coming by and ya’ll come back now.
